Located just 3 miles from the city centre, our Manchester distribution
depot has excellent motorway access to customers in the North West,
Merseyside and North Wales.
This site opened in 1957 and at 9 acres is the largest of Tennants'
distribution sites. In addition to extensive bulk liquid handing
facilities, the site has 3 warehouses for dry goods storage including
one with BRC accreditation for the storage of food ingredients and the
site is registered to FEMAS for the storage and supply of animal feed
products. The site stocks over 1200 product lines and is a low tier
COMAH site.
The depot has full tertiary bunding and over 30 stainless steel tanks,
each with a capacity up to 75 M3 for the storage and blending
of flammable chemicals and the site is licensed by HMRC to produce a
range of denatured Ethanols. Additionally, the site has 18 other
stainless steel or thermoplastic tanks, each with a capacity up to 137
M3 for storing a variety of products including surfactants,
white oils, acids and alkalis.
A recently installed state-of-the-art Caustic Soda dilution and storage
facility produces all strengths of solution up to 50% for supply in a
wide range of packages or by bulk tanker.
The site is home to one of Tennants' main AdBlue® production sites,
producing Urea solutions for diesel NOx reduction and industrial use.
Further information can be found on the Greenox® product website,

All products stored in bulk are filled into a wide range of packages and
many are blended or diluted to customer specification. This depot is a
hub for packed products, which are transported every night to other
Tennant depots.
The depot has a large in-house fleet of rigid body and articulated
lorries, for both bulk and packed products, with all drivers being ADR
trained and approved in the carriage and handling of hazardous
materials.
